LUSC makes contribution for former player to intern with
grassroots soccer program in Zambia

Lexington Resident and former youth soccer player Lena Forman (LHS '04) is currently spending a year in Lusaka, Zambia working with Grassroots Soccer; a nonprofit organization whose mission is to mobilize the global soccer community in the fight against HIV/AIDS. Their focus is on teaching youth to adopt healthy behaviors and empowering them to reach out to others in the community while using soccer as an educational tool. Fall 08

Girls GU11/12 Intown was as a blast this fall for all. We all look forward to training this winter and spring.
Thanks to everyone who participated. We learned alot!

 

Hammers 08

Congratulations to the Lexington Hammers for winning the Mansfield Columbus Cup (BU14 Division 1). Playing to a 2-0-1 record in the qualifying section they advanced to Mondays final. The final turned out to be a tournament classic with both Lexington and Mansfield tied at 1-1 after both regular and extra time. Lexington prevailed 4-3 in the penalty shoot out!

This past Spring close to 100 LUSC players, along with one chicken, attended our annual April Vaction Clinic. It was a great week of soccer and weather!
