Lexington Player & Development Academy (LPDA)

LPDA Futsal Champions
The LPDA offers enthusiastic players the opportunity to get top professional training and a high level of team play often associated with ‘club’ teams, but at a reduced cost and without the long commute to practice. The LPDA is directed by LUSC Director of Coaching, Brendan Donahue. LPDA teams practice in Lexington and compete in the Massachusetts Soccer Conference (MASC) on fall and spring Sunday afternoons in an 8v8 format.
What is the LPDA?
The LPDA is a player development academy. The entire focus of the coaching staff will be to train players to play the game of soccer at a high level while promoting development and enjoyment.
Why the LPDA?
- Provide supplemental, expert training under professional supervision for the serious player.
- Provide Lexington families with a local, less costly, developmentally appropriate alternative to "Club Soccer".
- Continue to develop Lexington players within our soccer community.
Who is eligible for the LPDA?
All players registered with LUSC in the U11 through U14 age groups as of the coming fall. (Current U10 through U13 players).
Note: The LPDA is a supplement to, not a replacement for, LUSC Soccer. Academy players are expected to play with their travel or in-town team on Saturdays and attend regular team practices. The Academy will announce their training night at the time of the program’s launching so LUSC coaches with academy players can schedule their practices on a different night.
How Do I Get My Child Involved?
- The LPDA will field for teams. A girls U12, girls U14, boys U12, and boys U14. Your child should currently be a U10 though U13 player (rising U11 through U14).
- Information sessions will be held for eligible players and their parents in May.
